Selecting a future processing day (for monthly donations)

Hello,

Is there a way to ask Online Express to start later than what is automatically suggested for the first date? For example if the donor wants the first donation to be taken on 4/15, can we set that up in the back-end?

    @F Omer unfortunately there is not. It is probably worth investigating webview donation forms instead of using Online Express. Credit cards will be charged automatically, and you can configure the form to allow the donor to select the start date.

    Moreover, even though the sunset of Online Express has not been announced, I would expect that to happen in the next year or so.

    Thanks for confirming! We would love to use the web view forms already, but since we have a large monthly donor pool, the automated recurring gifts don't seem ready for us to use with our existing business rules.

    Not sure if it has changed, but the last time we tested importing amendments to automated RGs for upgrade campaigns, it wouldn't update the RG amount. Doing this manually would not be a viable option.

    @F Omer I think once you import the gift you could just reschedule the installments. Also, I wonder if you can just add more options on the backend to the monthly so they can pick what month they want to start.

    Thanks Danielle! This is exactly what was suggested we do and so far, it's working out fine for the call centre, with a comment is being added to pick a further date for processing

    @F Omer you could have a comment box and reschedule the first gift but if they sign up on the day it is due to start i.e. on the 15 of the month, then their first donation will be processed by Online Express automatically like a one off donations, before you have the opportunity to reschedule it. But if it helps, I have been using Online Express forms with regular giving for about 10 years now and I have never had a donor either complain about the first gift being processed immediately, or ask to delay the start date.
