PO Line Item Post Status

Is there a setting I am missing that would allow us to change/set the default post status when new line items are added to a PO? Currently we have to change it every time for each line. It would save a lot of time and clicks if we didn't have to keep doing that.

In database it was a single selection on the PO details/info tab that covered all items and we were able to set the default so we did not have to change it every time.

    @Jessica Stickels There is a user option in database view that let's you default the post date to empty or the current date. Is this what you are referring to?

    If so, would defaulting the post date to the current date meet your needs?

    I'm looking for a way to do it in web view. I am set up that way in database, but it doesn't seem to mean anything in web view if I'm having to create a PO without a requisition or add a line items to an existing PO.

    @Jessica Stickels Yes, understood! That's why I am asking if defaulting the post date to the current date in webview would meet your needs.

    Or are you looking for additional customizations for this date?

    Sorry, it's the Post status itself, not the date that we want to default. We want it to default to Do Not Post rather than Not Yet Posted. The database view user option is set to Do Not Post, but that only helps if I create a PO from a requisition in database.

    @Irma Adame Apologies for the delay - I needed to reach out to our development team for more info.

    The user option settings are not available in webview. Some records in webview do respect the settings defined in database view, but unfortunately purchase order line items are not one of those areas.

    I'd suggest utilizing our Copy Previous functionality and/or the duplicate option in the Line items grid.

    It's possible we may support these user options in the future, but it's not currently on our near term roadmap.

    @Irma Adame I added a post to the idea bank regarding this. If it is something that would be useful to you, please vote for it and get others to so that hopefully they will consider making it an option in the future.

    You can search “post status” to find it. The subject is "Allow us to choose a default Post Status for line items in POs”
