Online Giving and Batch/Gift Processing
Hi there-
We have set up a new Blackbaud Merchant Services ‘Test’ account to evaluate the functionality of the donor cover fee and to verify how online gifts appear in the RENXT batches.
I processed a test transaction and received the confirmation email; however, I am unable to locate the ‘test’ gift under the unapproved batches or Gifts in RENXT. Does anyone know where I might find these 'Test' transactions to review the batch processing functionality in RENXT?
If not, could you please share any procedures or steps you followed to learn about the functionalities of RENXT batch/gift processing?

@Ravneet Kaur Did you check and see if they were waiting in the online data review section. If I recall, transactions made in “TEST Mode” didn't actually go all the way through, but we have a test credit card processor that we use as well to test how the gifts get batched.

Test transaction does not create gift in gift batch. ( at least I don't believe so, but Dariel's statement may be true)As for processing, the webview gift batching is lacking many functionalities now that is crucial for most org (i.e. applying pledge payment, linking to event registration, etc). Not to mention too many clicks are needed to properly code what can be done in webview gift batching.
in terms of processing:
- go into webview gift batch and edit it manually for each gift
- don't to today's batch and leave it open for tomorrow to process
- RE NXT will add transaction to today's batch (unless today's batch is approved/closed, in which case RE NXT will have to create another batch for today.
- approve the batch and then go to database view to finish updating the rest that cannot be done in webview (i.e. apply to pledge)

@Dariel Dixon I was unable to see the TEST transactions in the Online Data Review section. I will process a real-time transaction and further explore the functionality of gift batching in RENXT as part of our testing.

@Alex Wong Could you confirm whether it is possible to directly post approved batches from NXT to FENXT, or is this feature not yet available in NXT?

posting gift from RE into FE as transaction does not exist on webview of RE, it only exist in dbview of RE right now.1
