Assessment Question Bank: Discovery Needed

Hey Folks -

I'm Mike and I'm one of the Product Managers working on Blackbaud's LMS.

One project the LMS team is interested in is the concept of a Question Bank for our new assessment builder. That way faculty can reuse questions from previous assessments, without having to always create from scratch. If you have any faculty at your school who are also interested in this concept and wouldn't mind having a sit-down 30 minute conversation about their expectations with such a feature, follow the link below!     A question related to the Question bank:

    Assessment images (PNG photos) did not import when another teacher tried to import an assessment from the assessment's creator.

    When the creator of the assessment tried to simply copy the assessment to their own class, the media also did not copy over.

    The assessment was built in the new builder using questions from the teacher's question bank.

    Can teachers no longer import or copy over assessments (with media) that were built using the Question Bank? So, for example, will a teacher be able to import this year's assessments with media that built with the Question bank this year come next fall?

    On a separate but related topic, will teachers, in the future, be able to share their question banks with other teachers? That could be a potential work-around.

    Image files should be copying/transferring regardless of who is the doing the copying/transferring and where the question is being copied from.

    We did have a defect earlier this month where both image files and media files were not importing correctly in certain circumstances. If your school is still able to reproduce that issue, submitting a case to Support would be the next best step if that hasn't been done already. The team can then investigate what the cause of the image files not transferring might be.

    As for sharing, agreed, it's something that we would like to implement eventually. We have a couple other enhancements coming to the assessment experience in the near future. Once those are complete, we'll take another look at enhancements we can make to the bank experience, like sharing! Sharing this feature request in the Idea Bank would be fantastic. I can update the progress of the feature there once the team is ready to begin implementation.
