Adding option to email students with Missing Assgnments in gradebook?

We have a teacher at our school with an idea for a feature that would be fantastic. What if you could pull all of the contact emails for a set of students for whom their work was marked as missing for an assignment?

Wouldn't it be cool if we could send a message to the first student here using the dropdown arrow at the end of the assignment description?

  • @Rachel Fleming we make sure that all students have the notifications selected to notify them of Missing Assignments. This feature works great! The minute the teacher marks an assignment missing, the student gets an email. Teachers don't have to think about it ?

  • @Kathy Hannon Thank you! We also have this turned on. The teachers would like to create personalized messages for students. Some students need more direction than others.

  • @Kathy Hannon Do you have the location for “turning on” this feature for teachers? It's a useful feature.

    Thanks.

  • @Stacey Jansen We work with new students at their orientation to set up their notification settings - Missing Assignments they opt in on their settings. As Platform manager, I make sure that all students have it set by going into their Core records and looking at their Settings. I create a student list and check their setting tab, run down the list at the start of each semester (takes me about an hour to run through 700 records). Most student, once set, do not change their settings. I like to double-check ?
