How to create an all-inclusive major & leadership donor & prospect list from the past 15 years.

I'm new to RE after using a custom Advance CMR for years. I'm currently enrolled in what feels like all the BB training but I need help creating an all-inclusive major & leadership donor and prospect list from the past 15 years that's time sensitive.

Would someone be able to help me figure out how to arrange the fields, operators and values for this report?

  • Families who have paid lump-sum tuition (yes, as an attribute), or
  • Families who have contributed $10K+ to OTG, or
  • Families who have contributed $50K+ pledges, or
  • Families who have contributed $25K+ cumulatively (recognized on the donor wall), or
  • Individuals who have served on the school or Foundation boards, or
  • Families whose home address falls within one of the following postal codes: M3B, M4W, M4N, M2P, or L6J.
  • Relationship (ie. basic parent and student information)
  • Ratings (ie. wealth)

Thanks!!!

Welcome to the community @Kristen McGraw! Hopefully it's been a good transition from Advance!

I would suggest breaking this query into parts. You can merge queries after making sure each part works correctly. I would use summary information fields for gifts for the first part (Families who …), with the exception of the attribute. Merging queries is pretty easy.

The other fields are relatively straightforward for the most part. Relationships can be a bit more difficult to pull, and depending on your rating structure can be troublesome for a while.

@Kristen McGraw While Dariel idea is good, I would probably go a different route and use the same query and use the OR for each of those groupings. Then attach that query to an export to get your list and all the various outputs. Since you are talking money for some, I would also make sure your query includes soft credits in the TOOLS, Query Options, Gift Processing and choose Credit soft credit to BOTH, since some folks give through Donor Advisor Funds.
