Custom Field Updates

It would be awesome if we could create forms with custom fields that worked as well as other profile fields, loading what is currently there. I need to have staff update their education and certification each year. It would be awesome if it loaded what they already have entered so they only have to correct or update it. There are several other forms that would benefit from this. Is there an idea for this already? I know I can import it, but it would be so beneficial if this were a possibility. Also, because it is not there, it would be helpful if we could choose to add “user regarding ID” to a form so that we can at least capture the User ID number to facilitate the data upload.
