@Crystal Bruce It's worth noting that these Product Updates cover most Blackbaud products, not just RE NXT. There are separate updates for FE NXT, Altru, Payment Services, Online Giving, and other products.
Also, the RE NXT briefing is at 2 PM EDT on Tuesday, May 6 and is expected to run for 90 minutes. I'm sure it will be worth your time to check it out, even for a little bit.

@Crystal Bruce As i'm in the product briefing currently, I love what i'm seeing. Features like building homepage templates are bonus things that I didn't even realize would be so helpful. Excited to see all the new features.

@Crystal Bruce So much change! It's VERY exciting to see how developed NXT is getting. I'll be honest, I'm a little concerned with how to keep up with learning all the new ways to do things while still doing everything I'm expected to do on a daily basis. We don't have a budget for training, so we are on our own to figure it out.

@Crystal Bruce I'm just really excited to see how much more functionality NXT is getting! I didn't have any experience with database view or NXT when I started in my role here, but I gravitated toward NXT while I was working through the training sessions and always hoped that I'd be able to do the bulk of my work there at some point. I'm currently a department of one and know that I'm eventually going to have to train someone when we expand the team, so I'm glad that I'll be able to get them up and running more quickly by starting with NXT.

@Crystal Bruce - Excited for expanded gift entry (grid batch) and improvements coming for processing - tributes/event registrants. Basically everything in the “Experts” and “Gift Management” sections!

@Crystal Bruce, I'm looking forward to the expanded gift entry/management/posting functions as well as the ability to integrate with Constant Contact.
I wish the automated pledge payments had been available when we were running our recent 5-year capital campaigns!
Presenter Chris wanted to know why more users haven't adopted the Events features; I still think that's because of the extra steps involved to match constituents to ensure duplicates aren't being created. Better filtering needs to be implemented before we would adopt it.3 -

Re the Events module - we are unable to use it at the moment because of all the duplicate creation - please introduce a step where we can choose whether or not we want RE NXT to create a record for an event registrant.3 -
@Crystal Bruce it's so exciting to see all these changes happening. My org doesn't utilize the Communications options but I am excited to see all the updates and advancements, including partnering with Constant Contact.
I cannot wait for the improved batch process in web view. Until that happens I will have a difficult time getting my team to really move much to web view since we still process a lot of checks and cash donations and have to use batch to do so.
While I am happy to hear of the pledge option on donations forms, my org does not use those and if we cannot do a “pay later” or invoice option on event registrations I'm not certain we will ever be able to utilize that. I'm sure plenty of other orgs will be taking advantage of that, though.

I'm especially excited about future Blackbaud copilot and expanded gift batch and defaults. I'm already starting to run queries, reports and dashboards in NXT and move out of database view. It is so nice to not have to wait ages to run reports and see dashboards at a glance. There's a monthly “report” I do for my director that involves running some 35 standard reports and t's so much faster now. I am trying to design a dashboard to take the place of this monstrosity, but will probably have to sell them on insight designer, which I've already played a little bit with in BBU classes and love.1 -
@Crystal Bruce I've been using the duplicate management tool in web…unified view. It works well. I'm waiting for export but I'm curious how it will work.

@Crystal Bruce Great to see progress being made on query and standard reports. Would like to be able to easily create a shortcut to most used standard reports on our home page.

@Crystal Bruce I think that I am mainly excited for everything to be in one place! We do about half of our tasks in the database and half on the web view! It will be nice to not have to switch back and forth!

I am excited to see the upcoming Batch default features. We now have to manually add some custom gift attributes, whereas in DB view we could default them and hide them from view.1 -
