I hate all the rounding in RE NXT - Absolutely Hate It

That's pretty much it. I don't mind rounding as an OPTION, but let me turn it off or flip back and forth between rounding and precision.

Our latest issue came up with “funds” when we were looking at the Committed and Received amounts. We had a fund that rounded to a “$24k” received total so our Gift Officer told the donor “Good news! For $1000 more your scholarship can be endowed at $25,000!!” (our rule).

The donor sends in the $1000…. but the PRECISE number was $23,600. So the account is STILL $400 short. And the Gift Officer looks like an idiot and we obviously don't want to go back to the donor yet again.

Hate the rounding. It's gotta be fixed or modified.

    @Tom Klimchak We haven't had that serious of an issue with using the rounded amount but I agree. Have the option to turn on/off. I've found I have to go back to db view or do a lot of time in web view to get the accurate #s when we are looking at donor levels.

    @Tom Klimchak I hate RE NXT for the most part. Why not just improve RE Database, which I think is GREAT, with a few improvements needed, as opposed to creating the who RE NXT thing in which some things from Database will not be carried over. I also do not even like the look of RE NXT. I mean what is the deal with Action Tracks, Action Reminders, Query List, Business Rules, Plug ins like “Delete Phones” and “Record Radar”. and much more. GOOD GRIEF.

    @Tom Klimchak I just found this idea to vote for: https://renxt.ideas.aha.io/ideas/RENXT-I-9209 Not sure if there is other discussion since your post in May of 2025, but I too am frustrated there isn't an option to show the actual amounts. Still relying heavily on DB for speed and accuracy.
