Reports previously ran

When waiting for a report to finish running I'll sometimes click on another tab in NXT and then the window in the bottom right is gone and I have to go and run the report again. Is there a place in the system to go view those reports I have ran, or do I have to sit on the same page and wait until they are completed, and re-run the same report over if I need to look back at it again? I don't want to save every report I run while doing reconciliations but do end up having to rerun the same one over again, especially if I load a different screen while waiting for the report to load.

@Ashley Meneley, if you're looking for it within 2 weeks, you can check the “Recently run” tab in the Standard reports area. That will show your recent reports, and you can either get the report (or export if you set it up that way) or share the report with another user.

{I just noticed this was in the Financial Edge community; my answer pertains to Raiser's Edge, so I don't know if it's the same setup in Financial Edge.}

Yes, that link exists in FE NXT also, so thanks for pointing it out, Carrie. I wish it went back farther than 2 weeks - 1 or 2 months would be much more useful, so we could compare periods.

Thank you for the feedback, but my tab with the recently ran reports gives us the actual report parameters that were ran not the actually completed report. I was hoping to find a spot where the recently completed reports were sitting so I could quickly open up the report not re-run the report. I often get impatient working in NXT and end up moving away from the page I am on while the report is running (there is a notification in the bottom right of my screen saying it is running) so when I move to another page in NXT, that window in the bottom right vanish and I have to go back to the reports page and re-run the report and try to sit and wait for it to run, NXT runs much slower then FE and the workflows are not smooth forcing me to do multiple things in NXT in order to accomplish anything in any decent time. Waiting on reports or having to re-run them is starting to get frustrating.

I also am impatient and currently have 5 open windows(tabs). the bottom little box will float when a report is done and ready to view across the tabs for me. So I just wait for it to tell me it is done and go back to that tab to open the report, so that I don't lose what I am running in another tab. I do wait on the tab once I launch a report to make sure a little box has popped up so I know the command click has registered that I want something. Then move on to the next thing if not done in about 30 seconds.

I keep multiple tabs open as well. I always have 5+ tabs open just in NXT (FE, RE, Tuition Mgmt, Merch Svcs, etc) so that I can work on something else while waiting for the green pulsing ball to finish whatever it is doing.

@Ashley Meneley I understand running up to 10 reports at a time in while clicking another NXT tab to research something else only to find it disappeared. I found those ran reports disappear at times when I close some reports or hit the X button on 1 report ran makes them all disappear (Not saying that's your case). Other times I double check the other tabs & with luck those reports still show. That doesn't happen always but if I know I need to look at particular reports I export them as Excel data, click to download them as soon as they turn green so I can access them in my downloads indefinitely throughout my process. It takes the same amount of run time & ensures the data is accessible.

Again, that is just allowing me to re-run the report, it doesn't display a list of the ‘completed' reports that I can quickly just open that already ran report. It gives me a list of the reports I have ran, so when I click on it, I have to hit that ‘run’ button all over again and wait the 5-10 minutes for it to run that report that I just previously ran but mistakenly clicked on another area in NXT and the pop up in the right hand corner vanished on me. That is the issue I am running into, waiting for reports and trying to work while waiting on that report. But if I leave the page I originally started the report on, that pop up on the bottom right vanishes because I'm working and I didn't click on the completed report on time. I was hoping those ‘completed’ reports populated someplace in the system for me to go to and pull it open, not re-run the report again.
