Journal Entry Add-In - Custom Field issue

I'm having difficulty importing data into the Custom Field when doing a journal entry. Any insight on this issue?

Hi Marie! Are you using the excel add-in?

currently the add in can't use the custom field. You'll need to go without it and add later or use the traditional import under GL>Import as it can use custom fields.

We are using the RAMP credit cards and importing the charges as a journal entry into FENXT. I watched a demo with the company “Esgenio” who has “Ramp for FE” and they are able to import into FENXT the journal entry, along with the link to the receipts from Ramp. Just wondering how they are able to do that. Wouldn't they need to have a Custom Field for that, or ….?

Yes a custom field. My guess they have it setup as a text field and use the link as the “value” of it. That means you'd have to use the import in webview and not the add in , since it can't use custom fields

okay…..I'll play around with the webview GL import, instead of the excel add-in and see what happens.
