Receipts did not print for all gifts due to (erroneous) inactive status on constituent

Fairly new here. Our admin. asst. entered gifts and I validated/committed them, but both of us missed checking that some of the constituents were marked inactive and therefore not all of the gifts received a receipt when she processed the receipts. I assume it's possible to receipt the gifts that did not get one as part of her process. Can someone please either point me to an article that explains this or offer a solution? Thanks in advance.

    @Carol Leitz Welcome to the BB community forums.

    The first thing to do is to look up one of the inactive's gift records and see if the gifts are now marked as receipted. If they are not, you should be able to check the box in the receipting process to include inactive records and run your receipt process again and the receipts will generate. RE does not create another receipt if the other gifts in your group have been marked as receipted.

    If the gifts for the inactives are marked as receipted, post here and will send some thoughts on how to deal with that.

    You may want to create a business rule (works in db view) to let you know you are putting a gift on an inactive record so that can be changed when entering the gift.

    @Carol Leitz Yes, that is how to create a business rule. They have not brought them over to web view yet but lots of requests for it.
