Best way to see students in their homerooms

What is the best way to set up student enrollment records so we can assign them to their homerooms and see them easily when we open a student record? For example, we have (2) 1st grade classes. Coco is in the Orange class and Sophie is in the Blue class. When I open Coco's record, I only see “Current Grade: SF Grade 1 - SF Elementary School" and I want to see “Orange” in there too. Is this not possible?

  • Hi, @Ingrid Coolins. I'm not aware of any way to have the homeroom appear in the record header when you open a student. I do have my people finder setup to always open to the Schedule tab so that when I open a student record, I can quickly see the homeroom when I scroll down.

  • @Ingrid Coolins I don't think this will actually be of help to you if I understand what you really want to occur, but we managed this almost accidentally when we made our homeroom classes advisories instead of academic classes. In our case, the homeroom does not have it's own name, we just use the teacher's last name to identify the homeroom. We have the display settings for the advisory set up so that the head advisor's (teacher) name is displayed in the directory and Academic profile. So if I look up a student in Academics, the homeroom teacher is displayed in the header.
