Accounts Payable - Inactivating a Vendor

Hello FE community,

I am looking to clean up my vendors, as we have over 600, and 90% of them are no longer in use. My question is, if I inactivate a vendor, does it remove the vendor's historical records from reporting? What is the effect of inactivating a vendor?

    No, just stops you from adding new invoices etc, until made active again.

  • @Gabreylle Arrasmith No it does not get rid of data. I inactivate all my vendors I do not use within a year. Make sure to always filter and check your inactive when adding a new vendor. NXT does have a new code that should not allow you to add duplicates unless the spelling is off.

    Did you figure out how to archive multiple vendors at one time? I have this same issue, but don't want to manually change each one to Inactive.

  • @Adriane Medina I've been getting alerts that the mass archive is coming soon. I have not kept up with the communications, though, so it could have been released already.
