Accounts Structure Segment Tables

Hi all,

Are are there any APIs to grab table data for the various "tables" used for "account code segments"?

I do know that some of them are available as other APIs (Fund, Account Number, etc). But there are some system and user tables that don't appear to be available as APIs. Am I missing something? All these tables are listed in the FENXT Control Panel > Tables page. But I don't see any specific or generic API available in SKY to obtain these...

Hi Chris,

GET account structure (list) will return the elements making up your account number.

GET account fund (list) will return the funds

GET account code (list) will return the account codes

GET account segment value will return values for any segment that is not fund or account code (these are the two that are mandatory, which is why you have the other calls listed.

@Eddie Barker we're building a new integration with FE NXT and testing the various endpoints via Postman and the Cohort Sandbox. All endpoints work well, except GET https://api.sky.blackbaud.com/generalledger/v1/accounts/segments/{segment_id} returns "Error": "Account segment id not found" despite using a valid segment id. Interestingly, API docs specify it as: "error": "The specified record could not be found. The record has either been deleted or you do not have rights to view it."

Any insights or assistance would be super appreciated!

how did you determine your segment id is correct? did you use this to get your account structure first?

Yes exactly. Using segment_id of 1 from the following accounts/structure payload.

and then doing a GET on the below results in 404 "Account segment id not found"

you are not using the right API endpoint.

For “type fund”, use “Account fund (List)”

For “type account code”, use “Account code (List)”

For “type anythingelse”, use “Account segment value”
