Feedback for Online Giving forms

Hi - I would love the chance to chat with someone who use Online Giving forms as their primary donation platform and get feedback. For RENXT clients, is this the best solution out there (vs. other options like Classy, OneCause, etc.)? As just one example of a question that I had, I was creating a form the other day and noticed the pledge option - does this require that the donor enter a CC# at the time of making the pledge, or can they submit this without entering that info?

    Welcome to the community @Michael Sabin. I think your question really depends on your perspective. In NXT, in order for the pledge template to set up the payment on the schedule, then the CC needs to be in place. That doesn't matter as much in the case of a one time pledge payment for the near future, but those gifts are probably better handled offline. NXT is great at setting up CC payments in the future, but wasn't designed to handle other types of pledge payments.

    There are several factors in deciding giving page platform and giving processors. You'll have to take a look at all of those factors before making a decision.

    @Michael Sabin When assessing a third party platform you will need to incorporate the cost of a third party tool to import gifts into NXT or determine if your organization will manually enter donations.

    If a tool does 80% of what you need, start there, then determine how much you might be really missing. Once you can itemize additional “must haves” your org will be in a better position to assess whether to stay with NXT forms or use a third party system.
