2 stage applications in New Grantmaking Portal

We have a pre-application and a full application (by invitation only). I have created both forms under applications - manage forms and published them. I then created the program. I then added the forms - I do not have an eligibility form but the default form is the pre-application (that was published) and the workflow has the 2 published forms the pre-application and the full application. The program was then published. However, when I am testing in BBGM once I consider the pre-application and review it then how to I generate stage 2 because it is not giving me that option? It only gives me the option to approve or decline. Under cycles do I have to list 2 different cycles? or just the entire grant cycle?

As we rely upon a two-step application, I appreciate you highlighting this issue. I was hoping another BBGM user would respond by now, unfortunately I don't have an answer. Have you opened up a case with Support? It's disheartening that it is more difficult to set up a two-step application than in the legacy forms manager, which was pretty straightforward.

Also curious if Blackbaud has established the fix to link a NEW Stage 2 application with a Legacy pre-application/Stage 1 application.

  • @Michael Kennedy I did have to open a case with Blackbaud. So the process I explained above adding to the workflow was correct. What I learned was that when you open up the pre-application you have to publish request form and then you have the option to publish the full application. I am still in testing mode so I can't report how the backend looks at this point. It does sort of feel weird because the full application to me is not a request form.

I was wondering if you ever received guidance on the process of generating a stage 2 application?
