Bar code printing via 3rd party

I have read in some posts that for a retail shop some are using a 3rd party for bar code printing. Can anyone who is using this please share some details? Thanks!

    Hi Adrian,

    Yes, we use a third-party software to print our merchandise labels. We initially used Label Maker Pro (PC only), but later swited to Peninsula Labeler, which works on a Mac.

    We print both 1" square labels and jewelry/barbell labels. Each label includes the Item Name, Retail Price, a barcode generated from the SKU, and the SKU printed below the barcode.

    Label Printing Process:

    • Create a Merchandise Receiving Batch in Altru
    • Export the batch to Excel
    • Open the label software
    • Print labels using the data in the spreadsheet
