Re-Introduction & Looking to Connect Around Payments, Dashboards & Workflows

Hi everyone,

I’m Wanda, currently serving as Director of Grants Management at the Ms. Foundation for Women. I recently rejoined the discussion group and wanted to reintroduce myself.

At Ms., we’re continuing to refine our use of BBGM—most recently migrating all of our current online applications to the new Grants Portal (YourCause GrantsConnect)—and I’m currently focused on building out internal workflows, dashboards, and a more structured grants payment process.

If anyone here has experience implementing or enhancing grant payment processes, dashboards, or workflows in BBGM, I’d love to connect and learn more about your approach.

Looking forward to engaging with this community and sharing insights!

Warmly,

Wanda

Hi Wanda - Our finance team use our BBGMS to pull off weekly payment export each week from their dashboards, once a number of certain criteria are hit. The most important part of this process is that we've set up error check dashboards to ensure that only payments that meet our defined criteria reach our finance team, and if there are any elements missing it shows on the grant managers dashboard to alert them that it will not be paid so they're able to rectify. Without this we were unaware if payments did not reach our finance team, until the payee got in touch with us or we checked each grant manually. It works really well and would be happy to talk through with you if you'd like any advice ?

  • @Wanda Miroslava Peguero , dashboards are one of the few things I like about BBGM and so I use them frequently. I don't know if you would consider it a workflow, but my main dashboard has approved, pending and declined grants, as well as payments throughout the year.

I also use dashboards to keep reports that I don't frequently use but my colleagues have a tendency to need without a lot of advance notice and need it quickly. For these types of reports, I also have notes about how to complete the reports. (Really, just "full searches". )

    Hope this helps.

    Sincerely,

    Jane
