Configure format of remittance advice or other method of payment notification

Hi, we are new to FENXT and looking to make our first payments out of the system. We were told by support that we can not alter the email notification for EFT payments. As the information provided is bare bones we at least wanted to add contact information to the message. Has anyone found a work around for the unconfigurable nature of the notifications?

Currently that is accurate information from support. It's a standard format that is sent to anyone using the eft remittances currently. There are Idea Bank suggestions for being able to “customize” the email format. I'd recommend voting for them , hoping they will tag them and potentially add this functionality.

@Wendy Gamba, we have also made Payment Assistant available for sign up in Financial Edge NXT, which allows for automated payments and remittances for organizations on their behalf. There are sample remittances you can view here and many customers are quite happy with the service overall, along with the additional information provided on the remittances through this service. There is no additional cost to your FENXT subscription for this service if you'd like to try it out!

  • @Nikki Baldwin Thanks! The format in the payment assistant looks much better! How do I go about getting signed up? Should I contact my customer success person? This will be so much better for our first round of payments. I was really dreading this piece of our implementation,.

@Wendy Gamba you should see the view in the screenshot here when you click that first Payment Assistant link I provided above. You can click that ‘Apply to join our LA group’ link directly in product to get started! You can also check out those other resources to get familiar with the process. After you show your interest, you'll have options to attend a webinar to learn more, as well.

  • @Nikki Baldwin Thanks! I just read the rest of the materials. The service contacts our “vendors” and does far more than provide us an expanded remittance advice. For us, as a grantmaking organization, our “vendors” are grantees/customers. Unfortunately Payment Assistant won't work for us. Thanks for suggesting a work around though!

@Wendy Gamba I definitely understand that concern but I would encourage you to at least dig in and join a webinar. We actually have several customers who are grant-funded and paying out to individuals, including even K12 schools which are paying students at times. The service can work with both organizational vendors and individuals and they can pick their preferred form of payment between virtual cards, ACH, or remotely printed checks. If you already have their EFT information, we can use that to send payment, as well. Worth a second look!

  • @Wendy Gamba and @Nikki Baldwin we wanted to chime in that we are also not implementing Payment Assistant due to the functionality of removing the customer service level we provide to our vendors (grantees) for onboarding. In addition, even if we were comfortable with Payment Assistant contacting our vendors, we are not comfortable with the level of security for new and updated payment instructions. We complete a callback with security questions for new and updated payment instructions. This provides a layer of security that's been invaluable to our organization given the dollar value of our grants. If Payment Assistant has an option to turn off elements of the functionality we may consider migrating as there are features that would improve our workflow.
