Assigned Fundraiser tile - "Show Current"

We are able to get a list of constituents that have fundraiser's associated with them. How do just get a list of those fundraisers that only appear when the “Show Current” is checked on the Assigned Fundraiser tile?

absolutely second JoAnn, it really is so clunky to pull only currently assigned fundraisers!

if you're wanting a very simple list with just a few elements, using a Constituent List with the fundraiser filter can be a good solution.

@JoAnn Strommen is correct that this is regrettably not as easy as it should be.

I have always recommended creating a “former” version of each solicitor type, so you might have “Relationship Manager” and “Relationship Manager - Former”. This allows you to pull only active solicitors, which you will need to do from Export in database view.

Always use start and end dates too, because those can be helpful in some situations, such as when you want to see the most recently assigned former person.

The “end assignment” setting in webview is SO tempting, but it only allows you to change the end date and does not allow you to change the type.

@Karen Diener That's exactly what we do too.

Not sure what fields you need to see in your list; however, I'm able to pull a list of all constituents assigned to fundraisers using the Work Center. I just select the “Change fundraiser” link and adjust my view from my portfolio to “All Fundraisers." Then from the Portfolio tab in work center, I can see everyone that has a fundraiser assigned.

So long as the “Assigned to” column is displayed, you can view which fundraiser is assigned to each constituent. The only fundraisers that will show in this field are current fundraisers without an assignment end date. NOTE: This field will also display current fundraisers that don't have work center portfolios. That means you won't be able to filter on them from the Portfolio tab, but you can view them in an export file.

This is the best way that I've found to manage fundraiser portfolios. Comes in handy when I'm needing to review, end or transition fundraiser assignments.

Be advised. While you can view the list, you can't convert it to an NXT constituent list. You can export as a CSV spreadsheet, but the data file isn't as neat and tidy as you might like. Additionally, if more than one fundraiser is assigned to a constituent, all fundraisers will all be listed in the “Assigned to” field for that row in the spreadsheet. Additionally, assignment start dates aren't displayed in the export file.
