All About Online Recommendation Forms and Ratings

It’s been a busy month and a half here on the K-12 Blog as we’ve only just recently finished covering all of the changes to each of the products over the summer months. In addition we took a look at PushPage and even answered some of your burning questions.


During all that craziness, the Enrollment management team launched a new feature which kicked off a lengthy discussion post right here in the community. Today, we’re going to take a closer look at Online Candidate Recommendation forms.

What are Online Recommendation forms?

These forms are essentially utilized by candidates who initiate the process from their checklist. This sends a request to the teacher or faculty member of their choosing who then goes to the form to see who send the request and any comments that may have been added.


From there, the faculty member fills out the form including evaluating certain skills through a ratings matrix. Once complete, the data is submitted to the assigned admissions manager for review and final confirmation.


Keep in mind that the candidate never sees the details of the form, but if notifications are enabled, they'll continued to be updated on the progress as well as when it has been completed.

What are Ratings?

You can’t have Online Recommendation forms without a Ratings matrix. These are added to the forms to enable faculty members to define the candidate's skill set. Ratings are used by admissions managers to better evaluate a candidate once the form is submitted.


To get started, you can create and manage all rating matrices from Enrollment management, Admissions, Admissions setup, and then Ratings.
