Tribute Acknowledgee Emails?

Hello! We have the tribute module. I'm curious if anyone has a creative solution for emailing a tribute acknowledgee automatically, or at the very least semi-automatically? I'm getting more requests from families who don't want paper mail. Example scenario: Susan died, and her daughter Jane wants to get emailed when people give to the organization in memory of Susan.

I'm having trouble keeping track of these requests because we get a lot of tribute gifts, and there is no automation that I've seen to help with this.

There are some third-party integrations that are great for Tributes, if you are wanting to go down that path!

You could build a flow in Power Automate to accomplish this for you, automatically. Here's a blog that talks more about this options and opportunities involved: https://prengersolutions.com/fundraising-insight/can-power-automate-help-me/

A lot will depend on what platform you are using to intake donation online, and/or are you also trying to do this with offline gift.

Some online platform does email tribute (i.e. Luminate Online) already, just need to configure it. Many don't. and if you are trying to also handle offline gift that is recorded in RE. then using Power Automate is one of the better option out there, but it will require you to learn how to use Power Automate (even though it is consider no/low code platform for automation, there is still a learning curve) or enlist a contractor/Blackbaud partner that knows how to do this for you for a price.

It is definitely worth it in my opinion, just the time saved from human resource needed to process, and the donor experience of receiving tribute in a timely manner without consideration of human factor.
