Help me move donor fee coverage option and streamline our giving forms!

I recently noticed that in the standard donation form, an additional page was added for donors to elect to cover processing fees. Previously, the option for a donor to elect to cover fees was a checkbox that lived on the same page that donors input billing information.

I am advocating for moving the fee coverage back to the same page, as it was before. If you would like to see this change too, please VOTE for my idea:

@Bianca Gonzalez, could you share an example or a link to your giving page? I'm not familiar enough with the variations of giving pages to know exactly what you're seeing. My organization uses a different fee coverage vehicle so I want to see what you're seeing.

Hi! Thanks for adding this to the Idea Bank. I wanted to add a little color to this change.

We are actually running an A/B test on this exact thing on Optimized Form right now for Complete Cover, which uses the same flow for the payment "steps" as Standard form now uses for both Complete and donor cover. We are early days in this test, but we are actually seeing a .5% increase in donor conversion on the form overall when the Complete Cover ask is on its own card versus on the payment method selection card. I know - it doesn't follow the normal rules that less is easier for donors and less places for them to abandon, but it also follows Newton's law - an object in motion tends to stay in motion, which we have found some of our Optimized form conversion success can be attributed to.

For Complete Cover enabled forms, keeping this ask after the payment method selection also allows Paypal to be included as a payment method, which was important to many customers.

We will keep testing to see where this cover ask should land, and I will keep this open for voting - just wanted to give you some background! Thanks again!

I still voted for the change but this was helpful to know that it is in an A/B testing phase.
