How to create an appeal code

Hey…hope all who read this are well.

Quick question: Has anyone ever had to create an appeal code and how did you do it. We have two fundraisers coming up back to back and I may need to do this. Thanks in advance for your help/replies.

Just a tip - I try to avoid having very similar appeal names as it can be easy to choose the wrong one when doing mass gift processing.
If it make sense, I like to have our active appeals begin with different letters so using the drop down in db view, selection is easier.
I.e. make first part of appeal ID/description be what is different: Fb Fall Mailer / BB Fall Mailer

you can also load the appeal on each record that receives the appeal - this can be very useful to track responses

We name our appeal codes with the year as part of the appeal name: 2025Gala, 2025Fall, 2025Homecoming, 2025CYE. This makes it easier for us to do some appeal analysis year over year.
