We are new to NXT in higher ed and we need to run our Phonathon call center through Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT. What are other users doing without buying a third-party software?

    @Amy Bridges, can you explain what you mean by running your call center through RE NXT? Are you suggesting that the student callers (assuming they are your students) would have access to enter things in the database? I don't know if I would want that level of headaches.

    EDIT: Let me say that I have used RE7 Call Center Plug-In which has been since been…discontinued for a lack another term. I'm not sure how you solve this problem without a third party software.

    @Dariel Dixon yes, we converted from Slate and were able to host the entire program through that system. The callers had access to the information we chose, were able to submit forms with information updates that we could control what was kept or not, and emails that automatically sent based on form responses. Unfortunately it looks like we may be headed back into a Google Sheets system. Thanks!

    IYKYK. I'm glad that tool was not in wide use. It wasn't great to say the least.

    @Amy Bridges I got it. Any tool that does that will be third party plugin or custom solution. I think you might be able to find a plugin for NXT maybe in the calling software which seems like it might be the easiest solution. You'll have to develop a way to allow access without overwriting. RE doesn't natively allow edits to be "suggested" per se.

    You could potentially build an app through Power Automate to accomplish this. Agree with Dariel that this will likely be a third-party app or custom solution.
