Admissions Progress for Parents

Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of the "No forms need attention at this time." on the new parent progress view. It's right at the top of the page above the checklist. We have more of a rolling admissions format with several admissions windows that we use to accept students and so we don't put due dates for our admissions forms. If we did, we would have to change dates on all checklists after the first window or we would have to assign new checklist or reassign checklist to families that didn't meet the first window deadline. Can anyone that has a similar admissions format tell me how/if they use due dates for their admissions forms and checklists?

  • I came here with the same question, as I don't love that text at the top of the screen.

We don't have firm deadlines. We've sometimes listed our priority deadline on the checklist, but I worry that it discourages candidates from completing the process after that deadline, so I've had to go through and update all the checklist steps. This year we were just not setting deadlines, as I also don't want families to see deadlines in late July and delay completing the steps when it would be beneficial for them to go ahead and complete the process.

  • Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to hide that section. This is where any assigned contracts or school forms will appear. With the new parent view, the yellow banner across the top is no longer displayed.

  • So if I'm understanding this correctly, this is worse than I originally thought. You are going to have a notice at the very top of your checklist that says you don't have anything that needs your attention through the entire application process? I thought maybe that notice was going to be triggered by checklist step due dates. we've already had several families contact us about this notice thinking they didn't have to complete any of the steps at this point even though we opene dour 26-27 enrollment on September 1.

  • In previous years I have used the on-line posting of decisions via the Admission progress page. Will this new feature change this process? Meaning can the parents see a contract prior to selecting the decision tab for decision status?
