Sharing my Power Automate template: RENXT Constituent/Fund Relationship Tiles

- Description: This “All in One” flow renders custom tiles for Fund Relationships on a Constituent Record and Constituent Relationships on a Fund Record. The links open a fly-out to the corresponding record.

@Glen Hutson This is fantastic! It's precisely one of the things I was looking to do with Power Automate. I was able to get it set-up on our test database very quickly and I'm pretty new to the platform.

One thing I found is that when I set it up as instructed with “&recordType=fund” added to the Constituent Tile Dashboard Extenstion Point URL and “&recordType=constituent” added to the
Fund Tile Dashboard URL. The tile wouldn't return anything. I flipped the the pieces added to the URLs and it started working.

(I think the instructions have the extension point names flipped)

I just got this going this week as well, I had the same issue. @Glen Hutson does say in his GitHub notes that you may have to switch these depending on how you view “reciprocal”. My department is so happy to see this also! Thanks Glen!

Glad you got these to work and that you're finding them useful! And doh, you're right, I did get the extension names flipped. I corrected that in the Github. Sorry for any additional time taken, and thanks for pointing that out! When working with Fund/Constituent and Constituent/Fund, guess my eyes crossed.

@Glen Hutson I know I am super late to this party but was playing around and it looks like when I set up the app in my developer account, I am having a hard time connecting it to my environment. Wondering if something if the URI settings has changed since this was first set up.

Hi Kelly, what issue are you having? Any specific error messages, not seeing where to add the app, etc?

@Glen Hutson I was able to trial and error my way there. It had been so long since I set up an app in SKY API and I was missing the step to link my environment.

@Glen Hutson - two things, I was successfully able to get this into Power Automate and connect it to my environment, however the tile is not populating on the dashboard even though the flow is showing successful. Secondly, there is a notice on the flow (pictured below) which I did click to update the flow but I am wondering if that might be the cause of it not showing on the constituent/fund records? Any guidance would be much appreciated.

@Amber Morgan Hi Amber- we are all seeing this error if you have any flows that have http request URLs. It's only a warning if you have just created this. For those of us that have older flows we need to update the URLs because they are changing. I was hoping the warning disappeared after I updated the URL but it does not.

Ignore the warning if you have just created the flow.

Make sure when you add the Add In in Applications that after your URL you put &recordType=constituent or &recordType=fund.

Mine is also failing when no one has a Fund relationship which didn't happen before. This happened after I updated the URL. Under the tile name mine has this error:

InvalidTemplate

. Unable to process template language expressions in action 'Initialize_variable_-_TileName' inputs at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'contains' expects its first argument 'collection' to be a dictionary (object), an array or a string. The provided value is of type 'Null'.'.

Initialize variable - TileName
