Multiple school level options for Transcripts

Academics

Can anyone explain this? I have no idea where to find what it is talking about. Blackbaud, please walk us through how to get there and exactly what it means and doesn't mean. Thank you!

When adding a transcript, administrators can now select terms for school levels outside of the one selected on the transcript. Essentially, this will allow specific classes to be displayed that are not specific to the template's school level. From the Offering Grid, select Show terms from all school levels to display terms that are able to be selected.

In addition, the Edit grade and Edit attendance columns have a checkbox above the term for Show terms from all school levels that allows other school level terms and grade plans to be selected.

Support told another school that the feature is rolling out later today. It was not part of the regular feature release.

Some additional information about it would be helpful.

  • Circling back, because it was part of the "What's New" today. There is still no clear explanation on what is being called the "Offering Grid" or where to find it. I don't see anything in the Transcripts Setup and editing a transcript that is like what is described. On the Getting Started tab, there is a box you can check to "Include data from multiple school levels" but as far as I can tell, nothing happens with it.

    Hi all!

A Knowledgebase solution has been created that contains the steps to get courses to show on a multi-school level transcript: Can we print courses and grades from different school levels on a Transcript?

Since the feature needed to provide support for the various different configurations all our schools may need for what courses should display, there are a handful of settings that will need to be adjusted. Hopefully that Knowledgebase works to help get you started!

This KB is helpful, but one bit is confusing. In the instructions for updating course settings, step 5 reads like the change is made in the Details block (mentioned in step 4). It has to be made in the Settings block.
