Exporting Opportunity Record IDs from Webview

Is there a way to export a list of Opportunities from the webview that includes the Opportunity Record ID? I haven’t been able to find this option, and it would be really helpful to have the Opportunity ID available within the Webview query.

Has anyone else come across this or found a good solution?

There is no way to export that, but I have to ask, what is the point of even having that. I run Opportunity reports all the time and never saw a need for that, in fact it never even crossed my mind.

You can access the Opportunity System Record ID through Opportunity lists : when you export a list, the column is automatically added, like the URL. It's not avalaible in Query unfortunately, so I sometimes have to combine a Query and a List to get the result I want.

Agree with @Joe Moretti - Can you explain a bit more about your use case?

Regardless of your use case, there are only two options that I'm aware of. One is Delphine's suggestion - which I personally haven't tried but I believe her - and the other is to Export from database view. In export, it is known as the system record ID. It is available in the API but I suspect that helps you even less!

  • As I begin working with Power BI and the Query API, it would be beneficial to have the unique opportunity record ID available in the query output.

as others have stated, webview query lack system record id for many record type. If you are working with Power BI and Query API, that means you are already aware of SKY API.

So instead of using Query API, just use the List Opporutnity SKY API endpoint, which will provide the system record id of the opporunity record.
