Requirements

If I published a requirement to the new portal because of the original cutoff date was 8/31, can I now unpublish the requirement from the new portal and republish the requirement to the Legacy portal?

  • I don't know the answer to your question, but I will share my experience with navigating between 2 portals! We hold 2 rounds of funding each year, and organizations may apply multiple times per year. The term is 12 months, so the Final Report is due a year after the grant in awarded.

Just this month, I have sent award notifications for this round. Grantees must complete the requirement of Grant Acceptance in the new grantee portal, which is of course, the same portal in which they completed their grant application. Also this month, some of these same grantees that were awarded grants last fall, who completed their application in the Legacy Portal (our Call for Applications opened in July 2024) were due to submit last year's Final Report, in the Legacy Portal. I didn't transfer these over, as I became aware over the summer that the sunset date was being extended to the end of the year. I have had soooooo many grantees advise they can't see the Final Report Requirement, and when I send back a detailed message about the 2 portals, and confirming they are logging into the correct one, of course, the requirement is there. Working in 2 portals is confusing for grantees!

In summary, once you've got everyone moved to the new portal, it may not be worth switching back! May I ask why you think moving the requirements back would be advantageous?

  • Thank you Monica. I attempted to move them back to the Legacy portal because they were originally due after the August 31 cutoff date. The final requirement reports are due mid November which is now before the extended December 31 deadline. I was hoping to keep those reports in the Legacy portal so not to cause confusion.

  • Hi Diane, it makes sense, and I thought the same thing - that it would be less confusing for grantees to complete their reports in the portal in which they started the grant. But since some of the same organizations now have grants in the new portal, I see that it would be easier for them to have everything in one place :)

Good luck with your program and hopefully someone will have an answer to your question!
