FE Budget Excel Add-in Tool

Hi everyone,

This is my first year doing budgets with FE. We do not have the budget module. Budgets were previously entered manually against accounts and I am trying to automate the process. Does the Budget Creator Excel add-in tool work without the budget module?

    I found the Budget Excel Add-In Tool cumbersome. I ended up importing my budget much like the way I used to Import in the database.

    A few key rules have changed, in order to make that work: Your Budget and Import IDs can't have more than 2 hyphens (mine started out with 3, and I had to get someone from BB to tell me why it kept kicking out, because no error message explained this). Also, FE no longer supplies an Import ID to include in your import document - you have to make one up. That is also not clearly stated in the Import area.

    But… once you get past those obstacles, the import works well and is a lot faster than the Excel Add-in.
