Plus / Minus or Variance Analysis

I am looking to figure out the best way to create a report that shows the variance in donor giving as related to our projections. We currently do the projections in Excel and have a separate +/- sheet where we keep track manually. Is there a way to input projections into RE NXT? Maybe through opportunities?

    if you simply trying to put projection into RE, then Opportunity likely is best record to use. As it indicates how much you are planning to solicit the specific donor for in a given year. Ask Amount, Expected Amount, Funded amount will help.

    you will have to manually enter the funded amount though, then from funded to ask amount, you can do the variance analysis.

    another way is to just do ask amount as the projection, and then use constituent query's summary of gift column to output amount actually given to plot against the ask/projection.
