Expected Graduation Month Aligns with School Year Not Grade Plan End Date

To make life a bit easier at the end of the year, we have changed our Blackbaud "school year" to run from June 9 to June 8. The Blackbaud school year had previously ended on the last day of the spring semester grade plan. An unanticipated consequence of this change is that the Expected Graduation date that now appears on transcripts being sent to colleges reads June 2025 instead of May 2025; the month the seniors are actually graduating. Is this a major issue? No. Is this specific information being communicated on the transcripts correct? No. I have an issue with that. Having been a college counselor for many years, this is information that should be on a transcript. And all transcript information should be correct. Call me old school.

The date the new transcript builder is pulling is correct, according to the information bubble associated with the field in the builder. "It is functioning as designed." Unfortunately, you cannot select a date format for this field in the builder, or we would only list the year. We cannot continually change the year-end date if we need to generate a transcript. Does anyone have a suggestion on a way to manage this?

I will submit an "idea" that the month be pulled from the grade plan and not the school year.
