How do I generate a gift acknowledgement letter to be emailed for recurring gifts that shows giving for all of 2023?

    @Anthony Plamondon Have you reviewed the functionality available in Giving Statements in the webview? That sounds like it might be what you are looking for.

    @Anthony Plamondon I hope it will do what you need. There's lots of new functionality in webview since you were last in RE (providing that the org you're working with has RE NXT of course!).

    @Anthony Plamondon While I presume you are on NXT, if you do not like the Giving Statements there, you can still create annual giving statements in the reports section of database view (Reports>Financial Reports>Annual Statement Report). You can export that to PDF if you want or even Word if you need to adjust anything.

    Another option, and what we do here, is to export the summary information (number of gifts and total receipt amount), then we merge the total giving into a letter thanking the donors for their contributions over the past year. Other than the export, this is all done outside of RE.

    It is sad that in 2026 the Annual Statement is still a horrid looking report and not fit to send to a donor directly unless it gets exported and formatted.
