Considering Updating Raiser's Edge for Events and. adding Almabase

Hi we would love to get anyone's feedback on using Almabase and extending our Raiser's Edge use for all events as we are considering both. Are they working for your school? How is the support for Almabase? Was setup challenging? Are alumni using the new network? Many thanks for your thoughts.

    @Leslie Lyman As this was posted at the end of many people's fiscal years I'm replying to bring it back to the surface. We don't use Almabase but I know a lot of people do.

    Leslie if you have found any great answers in the meantime please update them here - perhaps your findings in the last 27 days might be helpful to someone else in the community.

    We are currently in the onboarding process for Almabase. While there were some hiccups along the way we have found the engineers to be amazing as we work through any glitches that come up. Almabase is geared towards Alumni directory, campaigns, and events. However, we are using it for gala's, gold outings, and more that are not specifically alumni focused. We also will be moving our giving pages from Net Community to Almabase and RENXT over the next two months.

    At this time minimal info on how engaged our alumni are on Almabase as we will bring over alumni from RE to create profiles on Almabase in the next month or so. After that an email will be sent out to invite alumni to log in to their profile.

    We do have events and a few giving pages created and working through best practices with the features that are in Almabase. There is positive reviews from donors who have used event and giving pages, though since it is not 100% like NetCommunity registration is new to our event attendees and fielding more question than usually on how to register. I believe once we have gone through a year on Almabase our attendee and donors will have adapted to the change.
