Has the "No Results" Report Notification Disappeared?

I noticed yesterday that when I ran a GL report that had no results, I no longer received the yellow caution box telling me "no records meet specified criteria". I was hoping it was a glitch for that day and that it would be fixed when I logged back in this morning, but no such luck. I was pretty certain the report I ran yesterday would produce no results, but I'm not going to know that every time. Please bring the yellow box back so I know the report isn't just taking a long time to run.

  • I had a similar issue. I discovered that my problem was due to a date range error. If the date range is something impossible like 1/1/26 -12/31/25, instead of showing an error like it used to do, it will say "Report is Running", or whatever, then nothing happens.

Try using "Save As" and see if your report will save, or if there is an error preventing it from running.

Of course, this issue could be solved if they brought back the visible report queue, but that would also allow us to see reports are taking much longer to run because they refuse to put resources into the support infrastructure.

  • We are no longer received the yellow caution box stating "no records meet specified criteria" for reports we are running today. Please bring the yellow box back so we know the report isn't just taking a long time to run.

  • Great suggestion about the date range, thank you. I ran the same report again this morning, double checking that the range made sense logically, and received the same outcome… that the notification window did not appear with the "no results" status.

I couldn't agree more about the value of the visible report queue. I'd love for them to bring it back.

  • I am experiencing the same issue and have trippled checked my dates. The yellow notification is no longer appearing which leaves me wondering if the system is still working, complete, or failed. Respectfully, the timing of report outputs vary from 5 seconds to 5 hours and without the notificiation, I don't know whether to wait or move forward. Please bring the notification back. Thank you.

  • I've noticed the same thing. It's a waste of time waiting to see if a report has any data or not. For a system that was supposed to make reports more efficient (keep working while your report is generating), this is definitely counter-productive. Please bring it back!

  • This is a response to all,

BB has added a tab to the Reports module, "Recently Generated". This allows users to see which reports are running, their status and has a message explaining any errors. The users with Administrative rights can see all the reports that are running and their status.

I am not sure which role gives users the ability to see all the reports that are running.

This is informational only. There is no way to cancel reports or adjust their place in the queue.

It is an improvement that is an actual improvement.
