Policy Block

What's the point of the Policy block in a contract? Is it just an HTML block? How is it different from a text block? Does it link to another field somewhere? How are people using it?

Thanks!

  • Hi @Art Bryman - hoping members come forward with how they use their policy block. In the meantime, I've reached out to my team to try and get an answer for the purpose. Thanks!

  • I had the same question when we were preparing our enrollment contracts this year. Prior to this new policy block, we just used text boxes to describe our various policies, and there was already a fair amount of HTML formatting that could be applied with the text box. After researching help and doing some tests, we didn't see much difference with the policy block, so just left our policy language in existing text boxes for this year. I've bookmarked this thread to learn if there is more functionality that we missed!

  • @Art Bryman I did check with my team who said there is no significant difference. Hope others respond with how they are using it!

  • It's confusing because contracts integrated with Tuition Management get a "Review Terms and Conditions" sections automatically inserted into the contracts. This sections is not called out, and does not appear anywhere when building the contract. It only shows up on preview, on the live contract, and on the printout. "Policy" can be easily confused with that "Review Terms and Conditions" section, as I heard from a friend ;)
