Validation Reports in webview?

We're moving a few of our recurring gifts over to webview on a test basis, and I want to know what other people do. We keep paper copies of batches for 7 years, and we've always relied on the database batch validation reports to print out as hard-copy evidence for our auditors. The problem is I can't find any sort of printable report in webview. The best I can find is to go to my browser's “print page to pdf” function once I receive the approved batch's confirmation page, but this doesn't format well and also does not include all the columns of data that I need, such as Gift Subtype, Package, and Comment/Reference.

What do you all do?

  • @Faith Murray Following. I have struggled with the same thing. We don't print the report anymore but do save a pdf copy of the Validation Report for the auditors. This is one reason I keep dragging my feet to move any thing to webview.

  • There is an idea in the idea bank, with a “voting open” status. You are all correct that this is a critical piece of functionality that is missing,

@Karen Diener and @JoAnn Strommen - thank you! I'll use the “band-aid” method for now, but I encourage all users to upvote the Idea that Karen linked. We need this functionality!

  • @Faith Murray I voted and had others here vote as well. I agree, this isn't just a nice feature, it is a requirement that needs to be addressed.

  • We have the same problem and it is really difficult to have this validation report. About the Band-aid

A temporary Band-Aid if you need the data from validation report, that I think is still an option, is to print the validation report for the web view batch from the db view side.

It works but only after committed. not really handy. Hope they will find a solution.
