GL Accounts Missing When Using SKY Query Execute Endpoint Compared to General Ledger Accounts API

We are experiencing an inconsistency while retrieving General Ledger accounts using the SKY API Query Execute endpoint compared to the General Ledger Accounts endpoint for one of our customer.

We are calling the following endpoint:

POST https://api.sky.blackbaud.com/query/queries/execute?product=FE&module=GeneralLedger

with the request body shown below. While this query returns a list of accounts, we have noticed that certain GL accounts are missing from the response.

However, when we search for the same account directly using the General Ledger Accounts API, the account is returned correctly. For example:

GET https://api.sky.blackbaud.com/generalledger/v1/accounts?search_text=01-2005-99-0000

This indicates that the account does exist and is accessible via the standard General Ledger endpoint, but it is not being returned via the query execution endpoint.

We would appreciate your assistance in diagnosing why these accounts are not returned via the query endpoint.

  • Hi @Nikunj Prajapati I am checking with my team on this. Thanks!

  • Hi @Nikunj Prajapati! My team is requesting you open a support case.

“To help us investigate this further, it would be very helpful if you could create (or share) a query in FENXT that reproduces the issue you’re experiencing. If we’re able to see the behavior in a specific query, it will make it much easier for our team to replicate the scenario and determine the root cause.

    When sharing, can you include:

    •The query name

    •Your environment/site ID

•Confirmation of whether you are hosted in Azure

Additionally, you referenced a “request body” in your earlier comment, but we were not able to locate that information. If you can provide the full request body (or a screenshot of it), that would also help us narrow down the issue more quickly.

The more specific details we have, the faster we can make this actionable on our end.”

    Thank you for the guidance.

Since this issue involves a specific client environment (environment/site ID, and request body details), we’re unable to share those details on a public platform due to confidentiality and data security considerations.

If a support case has been opened, Please let us know the case number (or confirm that we should open one), and we will share all requested details securely within the support case.
