Giving Society

Our organization is developing a Ladies Giving Society. The women will pay $1,000 for this each year. I am trying to develop an online way for them to pay this $1,000 when they sign up to be a part of this. What is the best way to create a form? I was thinking a donation form but now I'm not so sure. It looks like I have to have multiple amounts for them to select for the gift amount and I just want the one amount to present on the form. Is anyone else doing something similar, and if so, how are you allowing them to register for the giving society online?

We recently launched a ladies giving society. Right now, we just use our general donation form, and link the donation to the fund manually.

We have a women's giving society, but we also have the membership module. Right now our forms are a mix of OLX membership forms (https://www.marian.edu/give-to-marian/giving-forms/women-of-marian-society-membership) and NXT standard donation forms since membership forms aren't built out in NXT yet.

We did decide to offer a monthly giving option for each membership level that is an NXT standard form. This form doesn't connect directly to the membership module so there is some manual work on the back end that has to be done.

We also created a donation form for our student membership level that is an NXT standard donation form. Drawback is that we can't specify the amount they need to donate to become a member and also some manual work on the back end that needs to be done.

@Mary Katherine Kerr Are you using the Standard donation form or the Optimized form? And how do you provide the amount due for their membership into the society? From what I can see it only provides a range of options for amounts.

@Kathy Bartel On the student membership form, how do you ensure they are selecting the correct amount to pay? I love the way your OLX membership form is laid out, but we don't have the membership module. This is our first time launching something that requires a membership, so I'm not sure it's worth the add on for us.

They use the standard donation form, and input $1,000 in themselves. Folks from the team have had conversations with them about it already, and they put in the comments which fund they are designating to receive the donation.

@Ashley Petty For that student form, we just hope that they put in the correct amount. Not a great strategy, but we wanted something very simple for them. I'm hoping that when the membership forms move to NXT they will look similar. I also hope that they will allow for setting a donation amount on the NXT Standard donation forms in the future.
