Reporting on Appeal codes in a donor record?

If you know which appeals you are looking for specifically, that will help! I would do a constituent query of people who gave online - whatever criteria would help you find those constituents. For instance, if a donation is made using Online Express, an Attribute will be added to the gift.

After you've established that first piece, then look under Assigned Appeals in Query. That is where you will look up the specific appeal. This is what it might look like:

That would pull constituents who have a gift made via Online Express AND who also received the FY24 year end appeal.

@Jeanne Fogel Hopefully I'm understanding your question, you're looking to see if a gift that came in online with form appeal or no appeal can be matched to an appeal on the donor's recond? If so, I do this with Gift queries. Criteria are:

Assigned Appeal Date between [the date range you want or you could do the assigned appeal id here for specific appeals]
AND Appeal ID equals [all our appeal-less gifts go in with an appeal of “unsolicited” so this part is easy for me--but you could what form it came from or other criteria here]
AND Gift Date greater than or equal to [date- this keeps old gifts out of the results]

and then the Output is:
Assigned Appeal ID
Assigned Appeal Package ID
Assigned Appeal Date
CID
Name
Gift Date
Gift Amt
Appeal ID
[and some custom attributes useful to me]

this gives query results where I can see all the “unsolicited gifts” (you could query by which donation form to) and which Appeals the donor has in a given timeframe. Then I can just double click right into the gift and change the appeal from the query info.
