How to limit pledge duration?

Where I work we start taking pledges for the next year the previous Fall. So for 2024 we start taking pledges in Fall 2023. People can make a pledge and then instantly pay it off, or they can pay it off as they can, until April of the following year (so a 2024 pledge, made in October of 2023, could be paid off instantly or even before 2024 begins, or, it could be paid off up until the end of April 2025). After that date, we write them off.

It seems though, that the higher the pledge amount, the more months OLX automatically adds to the drop down menu for pledge duration. Is there no way to limit the pledge duration to a set term, no matter how high amount pledged? Say, 16 months?

    Also, how do you make a pledge in OLX, that is JUST a pledge, but not setting up a payment schedule? Some people want to make their pledges online, but pay by check, when they can, every month, or every few months, in varying amounts. Or, is making a pledge through OLX restricted to making your pledge payments electronically by credit/debit card or ACH?

    I can't exactly answer your original post's question. A tag confusion to me what you doing there, sounds like you making pledge record with gift date in the future year…

    As for your followup question, you can setup a donation form on OLX with the payment option call “Bill Me Later” which after the transaction is processed into RE, it is a Pledge gift record, with a gift date of the day of transaction.
