Missing Assignments

We are new to BB. In gradebook, when an assignment is marked as "Missing", it is not calculating as a zero. Also, students seem unable to submit the assignment when it is marked as "Missing." This is causing lots of confusion for students and teachers. Has anyone figured out the best way to show the impact of a missing assignment but still allow the student to submit the work online?

    Would like this to be a feature for Blackbaud too. We are new and our students all have inflated grades due to Missing not counting as 0.

    It's an idea suggested before. Hoping Blackbaud can see this.
