Younger Siblings/Future Enrollments

Hi! Does anyone have a good method for tracking younger siblings/ knowing when a younger sibling should be applying for enrollment?

Comments

  • @Amber LeJeune A couple of tactics that we use:

We are a K-12 school, and we capture siblings beginning with the initial application and ask for sibs again annually in the student profile update. This allows us to pull a sibling report by age.

Additionally, our admissions folks send a general invite (Pushpage) to all our lower school families at the start of the new admissions season. This helps, too, with word of mouth.

  • @Lauren Marcus Eisenberg Thank you! Do you create a profile for the siblings in BB? If so, what role do you give them?

  • @Amber LeJeune We also add them from the application when new students enroll. We set them to become active when they are age appropriate to start the process.

  • @Amber LeJeune We have a “Future Eagles Club” that families can “join” that is targeted toward newborn to 3 year olds who are not yet ready to apply. We send an age appropriate welcome gift and hold 2-3 events a year. We have created a Future Eagles Club role and Checklist in BB and use this information to know who is ready to apply each August. Alumni can join online and we send the link to families who enter a younger sibling into the application. Second Baptist School Future Eagles Club - glad to share more if you have any questions!

  • @Lauren Marcus Eisenberg Do you mind giving more information on your general invite to LS families? Would it be possible to send me a copy? I'm curious how it is worded. Thanks.

  • @Amber LeJeune A year later, I'm interested in what you may have develped!

As an aside, I would like to see if you or anyone else can help on this related thread:

  • @Amber LeJeune We capture them on the application (name, DOB, school and grade if applicable). They don't have a role, per se. I connect them to their parents.
