BBGM Reminders

I'm looking for creative ways to use the Reminders feature in Blackbaud Grantmaking. I've been playing with it to see if I can set up a reminder to send an email to the grantee when the payment is made. I don't want to create a payment requirement then set the reminder based on this requirement. Too many additional clicks. I'm curious if anyone else has done this or if it is possible.

    I'm interested in this too as I think the reminders could be really powerful. The main “hindrance” I can see is this:

    Schedule automated Reminders: You can schedule a Reminder to be sent for any Activity or Requirement that does not have a Done date or Received date.

    Of course, I understand why the functionality requires there to be no done date as the purpose of reminders is to remind someone to do something that has not yet been marked as ‘done’. However, that functionality then hinders any creativity for using reminders on history activity records like status changes or payments being made because they, by default, have a done date.

    I haven't tested this but maybe you could remove the done date from your payment activity records and see if that allows reminders to be sent against them?
