Multiple Budgets Running During One Year?

Hello community!

I have a brain teaser for us all: Is there a way to have two budgets running in the same year?

I have a business development budget and a community investment budget each year. I need to keep them separate, but need to track for both.

Can I have two budgets? Are there other folks running into a similar problem? How have you worked around it?

    That is curious. Is it really necessary? We have 4 funds that are essentially separate budgets (Categories) ; they have different totals and don't mingle at all. While we have one overall budget for the year, we are able to spend and report on the Categories separately. Each category has its own reserve funds. We can make is so each employee only has access to one or the other budget line. This works for us. I wonder if it can work for you. If not, submit it as an Idea. Others may benefit from it.

    @Claire Novak We are just setting up BBGM for the first time, and we have multiple funding streams / budgets. I will allocate grant funding to the correct budget as needed. So if I'm understanding your question, yes, it's possible :)
