Flexible Tickets

Wondering if there's a way to set up a ticket for a event/program with multiple days that give the patron the option to come on any day of the event? We want to set up a price type that gives the flexiblilty to come to any day of an event without having to worry about rescheduling their tickets if they can't attend on their originally intended date. We do a lot of manual rescheduling and we're trying to figure out a better solution! Any advice is appreciated!

  • @Evy Ehrlich Do you have capacity maximums that require you to reschedule? Otherwise you should just have the option to override the ticket at the point where you scan it (if you scan it). We do that as a courtesy for folks for our October events that run every Saturday. If they call ahead we'll reschedule it, but if they just come to a different night, we just override the ticket, because they are not events with a sell-out cap.

That is only for scheduled programs though- pre-register events would be very different.

Thanks for the reply! We do usually have capacity limits on our events and most of time for our more popular ones they're full but for our General Admission Tickets usually not. We have used the override feature before! Thanks for your thoughts on this!

  • @Evy Ehrlich We had something similar. Created a ticket (we called it Flex Date) as a separate Daily Sales program. They are valid as long as the program is. You can control availability (online, sales, advance sales etc.) but cannot control capacity. Make inactive when event is over.
