Safeguarding your Committee Review Data

Published

While mistakes are a part of life, we've added a few new features recently to Committee Review to hopefully help you cut down on the likelihood of human error.

Let’s be honest, we’re all human. Mistakes happen. Ultimately, mistakes are also how we improve ourselves, learning and growing from them.

From an organizational standpoint, however, mistakes can be costly, frustrating, and progress halting. This is especially true when dealing with sensitive or important information like candidates. Reducing the potential for error, human or not, is a big focus for us, which is why I’m excited to share a bit of news for you enrollment specialists out there.

In February, we introduced a couple of safeguards to our Committee Review feature to help protect your data inside of the Enrollment management product.

So What’s New?
To prevent accidental data loss, we've added a new safeguard for admissions managers who attempt to bulk change or remove committee candidates. Committee candidates who have data applied to them like in-progress or completed reviews now have a warning icon next to them. If you see the icon, then that means this particular candidate has information on their profile that can’t be recovered if deleted.

The second addition is a new tooltip which displays a message related to reviews already associated with the committee. Removing that particular candidate permanently deletes the reviews. Ultimately, these additions won’t prevent you from deleting a candidate, but we’ve added them to create an additional step as well as bringing awareness to prevent accidental deletions. We hope these warning features come in handy and thwart any potential mistakes.

If you’re looking for more information on Committee Review in general, we’ve got you covered right here.

That’s going to do it for this week. As always, thanks for stopping by to check out the Education management blog! We’ll be back next time to dive into another new Education topic. See you then!
