Coming Soon: An Updated Donor Lifecycle (and Related Analytics)!
Published
With Raiser's Edge NXT, you can easily track your donor acquisition, retention, and attrition with lifecycle tags and analytics.
- Under Tags in constituent lists or on constituent records, you can track donor attrition with the Lapsed, Lapsing, and Lost tags. Similar to a LYBUNT or SYBUNT report, these tags help identify who hasn't given in a while and who you might want to re-engage.
- In Fundraising, Analyze, you can track and compare this donor attrition — in addition to donor acquisition and retention — under Donor lifecycle on the Overview tab. With these metrics, you can quickly gauge where your donors fall in the lifecycle — currently, and over time — to ensure you acquire and retain (or recapture) more donors than you lose.
- A new At-risk status will indicate donors who haven't given in 12-15 months. (Today, those donors are marked as Lapsing.)
- Lapsing donors will be those who haven't given in 15-24 months. (Today, those are your Lapsed donors.)
- Lapsed donors won't have gifts in the past 24-60 months. (Today, donors are marked as Lost after a two-year gap in giving.)
- Lost donors will be those who haven't given in 60 months (that's five years, as opposed as today's two-year window for lost donors).
Note that any previously saved constituent lists that include Tagged with filters may require some adjustments after the updated lifecycle rolls out:
- Lists filtered to include tags of Lapsing or Lapsed will include donors marked as At-risk or Lapsing, respectively.
- Lists saved with a Tagged with filter of Lost will include both Lapsed and Lost donors.
